TitlePreston Candover to New Alresford (St James Way)

["Date"]=>

["Title"]=>
string(48) "Preston Candover to New Alresford (St James Way)"
["Description"]=>
string(974) "There are no public transport options for this linear section of the St James Way, so we will have to operate a car share. The plan will be to meet at New Alresford, leave half of the vehicles there, and then transfer to the start at Preston Candover in the remaining vehicles. I intend to set up a WhatsApp group to arrange this transport, so please message me on 07824620739 if you would like to do this walk and also if you can bring a vehicle. Please bring a packed lunch as there are no facilities en-route. The 10am start will hopefully give us time to visit a cafe and/or look around New Alresford at the end of the walk. Alresford is a beautiful Georgian town which for many centuries prospered with the wool trade. It is now the home of the Watercress Line steam railway, so called because of its association with watercress farming, in what is now known as the UK capital of watercress. Trains will not be running on this day, which should make car parking easier."
